Revitalizing a historic factory site
Situated near Woerden Station, the redevelopment of this former factory site into a vibrant residential area is nearly complete. With several projects already realized or underway, the final phase will connect the new development with the existing urban fabric, completing the area’s transformation.
Community-centric design
The new development will feature 29 family homes, each with private gardens, arranged in four blocks and a standalone house. At the heart of the project lies a public green space, enhancing neighborhood quality and integrating into Woerden’s bicycle network.
Contemporary brick architecture
The design employs a contemporary brick style that pays homage to traditional family houses. Architectural elements such as cornerstones and articulated brickwork echo historical references, while green pergolas offer shade and shelter. Integrated bird and bat housing within the facades contributes to the building's ecological footprint.
