Building in the City Center
At Gedempte Zuiderdiep in Groningen, five additional residential units have been created through the innovative process of adding new stories to an existing building. This extension was carried out on a structure dating back to 1915, retaining its historic charm, while the new upper levels present a strikingly modern contrast. Despite the significant time gap between the original and the new construction, the building achieves a harmonious and visually compelling integration.
