At Urban Climate Architects, we are proud to have been able to provide the entire process, from design to construction supervision, for the transformation of a former school building into a warm and accessible care location for WoonParadij B.V. In this special project, we have transformed an old school building into a safe, homely environment, fully tailored to the needs of people with an intellectual disability who are assisted living.
Our role in this project
- Design: The Urban Climate Architects team has renewed and adapted the design of the building to create an optimal living environment, tailored to the specific requirements of both residents and care providers. The authentic character of the building has been preserved, while the building now meets modern residential care requirements. We designed the common areas to stimulate social interaction and provide residents with a place to meet each other and do activities, under the guidance of Hoeve Paradij's experienced healthcare professionals.
- Layout and finish: In close cooperation with WoonParadiJ, we have carefully arranged and finished all living areas, including individual apartments, studios and communal facilities. This care location is specially designed for people who qualify for assisted living and have an appropriate care budget. The result is an environment where residents can enjoy privacy, safety and the right support, tailored exactly to their needs.
