A Harmonious Blend of Modernity and Tradition
Nestled within the urban tapestry of Den Haag, our housing project seamlessly weaves modernity into the city's rich fabric. Situated amidst narrow plots, our architectural vision respects the context while embracing innovation. The façade is divided into three distinct sections, each characterized by variations in window size, color, materials, and texture. These harmonious differences create a cohesive whole, reflecting the architectural diversity of Scheveningen.
Respecting the Neighborhood's Character
To harmonize with the neighborhood's architectural character, the top two floors feature subtle setbacks. These design elements restore a human scale to the building and facilitate better integration with neighboring structures.
Integrating Inner and Outer Spaces
We designed double-height entrances and partially sank the parking garage into the ground. This creates visual connections between exterior and interior spaces, enhancing the building's surroundings and fostering a more cohesive urban environment.
