Transforming an Office Building into Vibrant Housing
Located in the heart of Almere Buiten's station area, this project involves converting an existing office building into a dynamic housing block. The new design will feature 66 modern apartments, commercial spaces on the ground floor, and a communal gym for residents.
Revitalizing the Existing Structure
The current building, which prominently marks the street corner with two intersecting blocks, will be extended by two additional floors. The updated design includes a façade makeover using wood and brick to create a more residential and inviting appearance.
Nature-Inclusive Design
The renovation incorporates green elements to enhance environmental quality. The façade will be adorned with climbing plants, and roof gardens will be added to increase greenery around the building. This approach aligns with the project's commitment to creating a healthier, more sustainable urban environment.
