In the northern city of Groningen, a remarkable new building has risen. Constructed from locally sourced bricks made from regional farmland, this project showcases optimal use of local resources. Additionally, the entire building is heated using a ground source heat pump, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability.
Innovative Design
The building serves as both a barrier and a funnel, designed to let in natural light while keeping out noise. The shape and structure create a serene internal environment. At street level, the open courtyard connects seamlessly with larger urban structures, contributing to the neighborhood's development and integration.
Seamless Integration
By selectively interacting with external influences, the building integrates perfectly with its surroundings. It is custom-designed to fit the context of Groningen, creating a harmonious blend with the local environment, much like a tailor-made suit.
